Bristol South End |
Bristol, Gloucestershire |
Brief Outline: Whist, traditionally this is the fifth Southend of the Severn Seven, the first visit by the ASDA Board on 6th March 2010 actually visited this South End last as the mainline trains from Bristol were a good way for everyone to return home. You might think that the most urban South End of the campaign would be fairly easy to find, however, this was not the case. Time was running out before the trains were due to leave and it was proving very difficult to find. The ASDA Board will certainly forgo sat nav where possible but in an emergency it is deployed. It was almost the Severn Six but just in time they triumphed, the full Severn Seven campaign was ticked off and the rest is history. Bristol South End is not actually the Southend of Bristol, in fact there is quite a lot of Bristol south of this location. It is just a small, no through road with a collection of new houses. The main focus of the road is the Broad Plain Rugby club. The club house and pitches dominate the landscape here but not in a bad way. This certainly means there is somewhere to hold a party in this South End if necessary. |
