Brief Outline:

In the quiet and picturesque Buckinghamshire countryside, is the quaint hamlet of Southend. Situated close to the slightly larger settlements of Northend, Hambleden, Lane End and Frieth, it has become the destination of many an impulse road trip from a number of people from a local Youth Group, due to its good geographical location, its pleasant "village green" and ideally located benches, which overlook the settlement beautifully. It has become a picnic hotspot for a delicacy such as pie or baked potatoes with a cheese and ham filling (thanks for those, Kate!). The occasional party popper can be heard firing and a squawker blow-out is blown, but this all adds to the party atmosphere within Southend.

Personal Review:

Tim:
I have visited this wonderful place many times, and can safely say that it has never disappointed. Even if it's a dull rainy day, Southend Bucks brings that little ray of sunshine into your life everytime you visit. Southend is the "must-see" village of 2004, 2005 and most likely 2006! However, you must be aware that the road does not provide access to the sale (whatever this sale may be).
