Brief Outline:

Sometimes Southend Hampshire struggles to remove itself from the shadow of it's more illustrious neighbour, Hambledon. Hambledon you see is the spiritual birth-place of modern cricket, the Hambledon Cricket Club was at one point an enviable force, even beating England! (Maybe they could teach Australia how to do it? For further information on Hambledon click here) This combined with the fact that it is on a road which fails to actually go anywhere means that the tourists aren't exactly clambering over each other to get to Southend. However despite this a trip to Southend Hampshire is likely to be something you will never forget. The locals are 'talkative' and mostly reside among the massive abundance of farms in the area. There are also sweeping panoramic views from the local sign post. Southend is the hidden jewel in the sparkling crown that is made up by the local villages, don't miss out.
