Brief Outline:

The Cotswolds 'Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty' is the largest in the UK and has long attracted tourists from far and wide. The rolling hills and picturesque villages scattered around are not the main reason the tourists flock. No, they all want to get to a very specific part of the Cotswolds, known as Great Rollright. It was called Rollendri in the Domesday book. The 'Great' was later added when it was realised it was best part of the area (in the same way that Great Britain is the best part of the world). So, we're already talking about something pretty good here, but imagine if we were to skim the preverbial cream off this amazing place squash it into a tiny road and add some Mr K pies and stick a bucket load of South End signs there. Yes, it is that good, people have been known to need a few days off work afterwards to recover from the awesomeness.
Another tourist attraction nearby to South End is a ring of neolithic stones called The Rollright Stones. They are thought to be some sort of ceremonial site dating from about 2500 BC. However, legend tells of how an invading army had encamped near South End. The residents, fearing for the safety of their beautiful settlement crept up on the army at night and bombarded them with the stock of the village Pye Shoppe. At that time there were more pyes in South End that the rest of England together and the army couldn't withstand the bombardment. Over time the pastry fossilised into the strange stones we see today. It is said that if you spin around in the circle with your eyes closed you will always stop facing South End.
