Does it have a sign? 16 (1-20%)
NOTES: Three signs is a good number for a South End of this size. The signs are all different which adds a bit of variety and of good quality.
How easy is it to take a photo at the sign? 8 (1-10%)
NOTES: Park your car at the triangle and you can use it to put your camera on to take photos of two of the signs. The signs vary in height which caters for road trippers of all shapes and sizes. The triangle is also nicely hidden away giving extra time to prepare a picture without being interupted. Does it have a shop selling pies in/nearby? 4 (1-7%)
NOTES: Fortunately there is an independent village shop providing a good selection of road tripping provisions with Mr Kipling pies being sold. (Please note that this South End was visited on a Sunday and as such it was hard to tell looking in the window if these were pies or infact someone was making a schoolboy and they are actually slices.)
Does it have a Fast Food Restaurant in/nearby?0 (1-3%)
NOTES: If there was fast food then this would detract from the beautiful rural location.
Is there a pub in Southend? 1 (1-5%)
NOTES: There are pubs in nearby Chipping Norton but sadly none in South End.
How good is it for entertainment? 7(1-10%)
NOTES: The triangle is sure to provide hours of amusement. There is the beautiful cotswold countryside to explore. As well as this there is the Rollright Stones. This is an ancient stone circle around 4,500 years old and well worth a look.
How random is the place?7 (1-10%)
NOTES: Pretty random, harder to find than you would think. Also the locals will even offer you a lift.
How enjoyable was the journey there? 9 (1-10%)
NOTES: Recommended to take the cross country route for some lovely countryside driving. Particularly recommended in the daylight from Birmingham direction. There is the added bonus of the nearbyish M40 to speed you home if you wish.
Are there adequate facilities for a party? 2(1-5%)
NOTES: Only really the outside option and there is no village green so you might just have to make do with 'party on the triangle' but this will severly limit the number of invitations you can send out.
Is it worth another visit? 8(1-10%)
NOTES: Definately, its really is a lovely village and perfect for visiting as part of the legendary Quad Pie Challenge.
