Is
it a settlement? 10 (10%) NOTES: Part of Milton Bryan, but a settlement none the less!
Does it have a sign?10(1-20%) NOTES: 3 signs, not clearly within South End though but rather pointing the
way to South End.
How easy is it to
take a photo at the sign?7(1-10%)
NOTES: Good height, pretty easy to take photos at them.
Does it have a shop selling pies
in/nearby? 0(1-7%)
NOTES: No shops selling pies in or nearby sadly, not even the pub!
Does it have a Fast
Food Restaurant in/nearby?0(1-3%)
NOTES: Nope.
Is there a pub in Southend?2(1-5%)
NOTES: Yes it does – the Red Lion – but unfortunately it is often closed and
is very expensive looking at the website.S: Great photos, it has to be said, but got the job done.e for
photos.
How good is it for
entertainment?7(1-10%)
NOTES: Great duck pond, with a wide range of water fowl. A house shop,
village hall and cricket club in the South End conurbation all add to the
entertainment portfolio.
How random is the
place?8 (1-10%)
NOTES: Our first part-settlement, which adds to the randomness! Add to that
the house shop and B&B at the end of South End and it’s gotta be up there with the best of them!
How enjoyable was
the journey there? 8(1-10%)
NOTES: A quite enjoyable rural adventure to the middle of nowhere!
Are there adequate
facilities for a party? 3(1-5%)
NOTES: There is potential there, with a village hall or gatherings round the
duck pond. Or why not hire out the entire B&B?!
Is it worth another
visit? 8(1-10%)
NOTES: Defo! And maybe even to stay over the night
in the B&B!
